jah! I need someone to sing songs of joy to Jah
Rastafari… In case you have not heard, please be
informed that iconic musician and one time toast of
Nigerian music scene, Majek Fashek of the ‘Send
Down The Rain’ fame who has been battling alcohol
and drug addictions for some years now, has finally
given his life to Christ and is now a born again
Christian. We hear that the entertainer who has
fallen on hard times and is hardly able to fend for
himself, publicly embraced Christ some few weeks
back at a certain church called Christ Miracle
Church Mission, situated at Iyasuna Crescent, off
Ishola Bello Street, Ojodu, Lagos, under the
watchful eyes of the General Overseer of the
church, Prophet Peter Abiola Adebisi, JP. The story
has it that the Edo born musician had attended the
church’s seven Sundays of Anointing for
Breakthrough Service for the first time and got
converted. Members of the church were thrown
into joy afterwards and nearly all of them rejoiced
with him. Majek was then handed the microphone
to do a song and he was said to render one of his
evergreen classics, Holy Spirit, and everyone
became enraptured with tears streaming down the
eyes of many. Praise Jah!
